Martin Luther King Day Celebration, Rome, January 16, 2006

The United States Embassy to Italy and the United States Embassy to the Holy See cordially invite you to a very special tribute to the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.
“MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.: A MOVEMENT CALLED FREEDOM”, is an exciting combination of music and history that celebrates the life of this great American, one of the greatest civil rights leaders ever. Led by American Beverly Lewis, the musical group Reel Jazz will mix rousing Gospel and poignant narration (in English and Italian) to stir your soul.
This special performance is open to the public at no charge. The performance begins at 7 pm in the Teatro Orione, Via Tortona, 7. The theatre is easily accessible by public transportation and free parking is available as well. Guests will enjoy an evening of incredible entertainment and history, which will also be a great learning experience and promises to engage hearts and minds.
